Historical education in schools of Volyn region (the second part of 40s – the beginning of 50s of the 20th century)

Today, school education in Ukraine is under major transformations designed to bring it a qualitatively new level order ensure the sustainable development of Ukrainian society. Soviet state, was part which for long time, put its full control, making kind «factory» production «Soviet person». Among all subjects taught schools, study history, especially history Motherland, utmost importance formation communist worldview and loyalty leader party.The research devoted interesting understudied problem studying schools Volyn region 1944 – 1953. The aim characterize issue post-war period.The article emphasizes peculiarities period region, are related both: reconstruction processes after Second World War second wave «Sovietisation» process. state control over spheres social political life also affected situation education.The author points out difficulties that arose teaching during study. First all, lack curricula, textbooks, visual aids (historical maps, tables, diagrams), necessary number qualified teachers, etc.History remained one most important first decade. example shows authorities had overcome establish educational process particular. value subject determined by heavy ideological load. It were teachers who supposed demonstrate students advantages socialist capitalist states, spread works Marxism-Leninism, form among young people. Teachers totalitarian forced follow party narrative, while being unable convey historical truth students.
